The global research reputation and academic staff at Griffith are why I chose to study in Brisbane. A highlight of studying at Griffith University has been making many good international and domestic friends, particularly by being a Brisbane International Student Ambassador in 2016.

It was always my dream to study both Psychology and Criminology. In my country, there was only one university offering this degree. So, when I started to search for universities, Griffith immediately stood out as the School of Criminology is internationally recognised and in the top 5%. This was the reason I applied to Griffith initially, but I chose Griffith because there was simply no other university that made me feel so welcome and appreciated as Griffith did from the very first moment of contact.

The orientation program was at the start of my program and was quite robust and very helpful, I got all the information I needed and that laid a good foundation for the smooth commencement of my studies. In addition, during my Master's program, I received ongoing support from the HDR advisor and also used the services of the student counselors, which I found to be very helpful. I have also received immense support from the academic staffs supervising my projects.

"I am very passionate about the chemistry of natural products. Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery at Griffith University is a world-renowned institute for natural products-based drug discovery research, which I am really excited about. This was the main reason why I chose to pursue a PhD at Griffith University."

"I have had the opportunity to take part in the Griffith mentoring program which helped me find a mentor from within the Queensland Government. It is a wonderful resource for students who want to find a mentor in their study area. I also joined the Queensland Chinese Association of Scientists and Engineers (QCASE) which has lots of outstanding scientists in it. They all help me to learn how to best balance my study and life and how to develop my career in the future."

"Griffith University has a good international reputation in Tourism Management as it has been ranked number one in Australia and number two in the world. The impact of tourism research has been a benefit to the community in general. I chose to study at the Gold Coast campus as it has great weather and is close to the tourism destination, Surfers Paradise. It is good for me and my family as we can relax and enjoy the beach on weekends."

"My Griffith degree has prepared me for my career through the skills it has equipped me with, creating more career opportunities for me outside the traditional academic path of a PhD graduate. I am confident that I can secure a good job outside of academia when I complete my PhD."

"Griffith’s support services helped me a lot. Lecturers were always open for consultation to clarify unclear points for me as a confused international student. I also got a UniSkills paid leader position through UniTemps, and made a lot of friends through Griffith mates activities."

AUT has a great infrastructure for research and study, including well-resourced libraries, laboratories and classrooms, and highly qualified lecturers. AUT also has a vibrant campus life."

"I first heard about an opportunity at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games through the School of Medicine. It has definitely been a unique experience. I worked mostly in the Athlete's Village Polyclinic at the front desk with awesome hospital and clinic receptionists. I shadowed emergency doctors, sports physicians and general practitioners and spent time learning how to read x-rays and CT scans from radiologists. It was the people I met during these weeks that made my experience particularly special!"

"Initially, I was only going to study at Griffith for a year abroad, but I have enjoyed studying at Griffith so much, that I changed my plans and completed the whole undergraduate double degree with Honours in Psychology. I felt incredibly supported throughout my undergraduate degree, and was more than thrilled to be recognised by Griffith as a good student and to receive multiple awards and scholarships along the way."

"I am glad I ended up choosing Bond University to pursue my Juris Doctor. I am fortunate to follow my dreams in this positive environment which is filled with students from all backgrounds. With a smaller community and small class sizes, Bond fosters that personalised learning environment where anyone can thrive. I have also been exposed to extra-curricular and academic opportunities which have strengthened my skills. I really believe coming here has allowed me to develop in all areas of my life as I have had to stretch my capacities in what was an unfamiliar environment that has now become my home away from home."

"I love RRU. I fitted in the DSocSci Programme quite well with my credentials. I was not only able to apply my prior experience in my studies but also it was as if the programme was built on my experience to produce a better 'me' professionally, scholarly and intellectually."

"The Bond University College staff have been exceedingly accommodating at meeting my needs as a mature age student. I have lived in Australia for many years with my family, however, with my lack of English literacy, I had been unable to further my studies and work in my field. Bond provided me with a clear pathway towards a further tertiary study that will allow me to reach my professional goals as a physiotherapist."
