"I’ve been to England before. I’ve been here twice, to London mainly. So, for the past few years, I always wanted to come back and see England and thought that maybe one day I’ll live here and teach here. Even more so now. I love England. It’s a beautiful country, very beautiful. It’s a lot to do and a lot to see."

"I chose to study abroad here because I’ve never left the country before so it was a good first step, not like going somewhere where they don’t speak English. Here, it's really cool that we get to be in the classrooms and get hands-on experiences. I’ve got so many great new ideas that are so different from what we have in the US, which is awesome."

"I chose this programme because it gives you a lot of great school experience and we are actually places in the classrooms which I really like so we can make some comparisons and learn from a different country and see what they do well so we can take it back to the States and maybe improve. Everyone is great. Mary is an angel!"

"I chose the UK because this was the perfect programme for me through my university at home. It’s a month-long programme and I thought that this was the perfect amount of time to study abroad because I didn’t really want to go away for the whole semester and I had some free time in the summer and this programme just happened to fit all those criteria."

"What separates Brighton from other universities is access to professors – you can ask them about anything you’re not sure about, and they’re very helpful and engaging if you have any questions or concerns. I’m currently working as a summer intern for an investment bank in Sweden and both the placement I did and niche courses I studied really helped me to prepare."

"The University of Brighton has such a nice environment and my teachers gave me practical tools that I could apply in the classroom straight away. Now that I’ve done my masters, I have knowledge about English teaching, which other Dutch primary school teachers don’t have, so in the future, I can combine teaching, which I love, with inspiring other teachers. Brighton is a wonderful city, close to the sea and it’s really close to London too."

"My course gave me a strong foundation in problem solving, and I still apply all the skills I learned in my practice every day. Since gaining my MSc, I’ve moved to Brooklyn to work in a sensory gym and a pre-school, and the university offered tremendous support during the US entry application process."

"It’s been such a stimulating experience. You get to learn so much about yourself, and have access to tremendous amounts of knowledge and resources. The staff are always willing to help and do whatever they can to improve the student experience and your experience of living abroad and dealing with challenging situations. It’s been a thrilling experience, an emotional roller coaster, but would not change it for the world."

"My experience at the University of Brighton will be of immense value in the future development of my career in the tourism industry. The focus of my studies has been practical and the teaching staff have been helpful, stimulating and encouraging. Living in Eastbourne has been fun. The beautiful countryside and friendly people will always hold wonderful memories for me."

"The exchange to Sweden during my second year was one of the best things I have ever done. It was extremely scary and nerve-racking, but it was an experience I’ll never forget. I’ve made friends for life and now know people who live all over the globe because of it."

"Studying and living in Brighton has been one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling experiences of my life. I’ve made friends with people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, which has given me an insight into how a multicultural teaching context functions."

"I really enjoyed the marketing part of my course because I had the opportunity to do some market research and design a poster to sell a product. It was great fun! The University of Brighton also gave me the chance to study in two countries, which was a great experience for me."
