The new £15 million research and teaching facility will open in autumn 2017 and house state-of-the-art equipment including an aeronautical jet turbine engine and a new Electrical Engineering Teaching Laboratory.
Bristol is a dynamic city with a long history and there is always something going on, whatever your interests are. The student union helps all students to have the best possible time while they are at Bristol (more than 250 sports and societies covering a wide range of interests, volunteering and sustainability programmes and many other initiatives).
I majored in the speciality of Optical Communications and Signal Processing during MSc, which exposed me to a full range of communication systems, devices and signal processing courses.
Bristol is an amazing and beautiful city. The uni offers a unique masters degree in neuroscience with a one-year placement, which gives us the opportunity to discover its highly ranked academic faculties.
In previous years, I have lived in central postgraduate student accommodation which was great for meeting lots of like-minded individuals in a quieter environment. I now live in private accommodation within walking distance of the university and close to local amenities – both experiences have been very positive.
Bristol is a great city to go to university in. It is a city designed for young adults, as it is a really creative and vibrant all the time. The vibes here are just awesome. You will never get bored living in this city.
