The most valuable experience I had on campus was networking with specialists in my field at job fairs. The college offers many opportunities to develop soft skills and working as an intern in the IT Department, I gained professional experience.
When I arrived at Spokane, I knew I wanted to make a change for my country but it wasn’t clear how I could reach that goal. Through CCS, I am discovering myself and learning one-step at a time how to achieve my dream.
Being a college student in the United States has been one of the biggest dreams of my life and I am happy to be here today. I enjoy studying my MFA in Dance Major at the department of dance as a dance choreographer, instructor and dancer.
I think that Brockport is a very intimate institution. You can build strong friendships and make great bonds with your professors and mentors. It is also extremely easy to get involved inside and outside the classroom.
My Intercultural Communication class taught me to see the world in another way. The class had students from all around the world allowing us to share firsthand our diverse perspectives on issues and history — a valuable lesson for all of us.
Education from LeTourneau has contributed to the success at my workplace. I gained close friends from different countries that I still stay in touch now, two – three years later. Professors and staff are helpful and truly care for the students.
I remember the Orientation day, spent alongside all my fellow classmates. I would smile and talk to others but deep inside, I was filled with fear, uncertainty and had low self-esteem. The only thing I knew was that I had accomplished my dream attending college. After that, I hadn’t dreamed beyond it. Investing in college was the best decision that I have made.
