The MBA course has been a great journey for me, I met a lot of friends and I built a very valuable network. I met a lot of people that have years of experience in the industry and they shared their stories. The important value of the Australian degree to me is that it’s well recognised all over the world, and with this degree I feel like I can work all over the world like a global citizen. I can interact and learn more about the innovation that Australian’s are doing, and also use it to help my country in the future.

I ended getting my job through one of the work-integrated learning programs that Western introduced right after my first semester. It was this program that basically kick-started my career as I was offered to work as an intern that converted into a part-time role, and the day I submitted my thesis in my final semester I was offered to work as a Programs Coordinator and Quality Assurance Engineer at one of the leading Australian Edtech startups in Experiential Learning.

I chose Western Sydney University because of the partnerships it has with different organisations therefore I saw an opportunity for me to network and do internships in those different organisations, one of the organisations is Price Waterhouse Coopers. I got the opportunity to get an offer to work as a casual for PWC which is quite exciting. Because of the support that we have been given and the encouragement for us to engage and network, I’ve been able to get all this opportunity and realise that there is more I can do if I just work hard.

There are two memories relating to my semester abroad that are really important: my Southeast Asia trip and my big trip to Australia with my friends from Germany.  In all, we took in Bali, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand because to go there from Australia was relatively cheap. Then afterwards, I came back and I travelled around Australia with two friends from Germany for five weeks. Studying abroad made those experiences possible.
